For this assignment, we had one week to design, laser-cut, and document a parametric construction kit which can be assembled in multiple ways.

IDEATION

I wanted it to be able to stand independently on my shelf and have a good amount of space for my earrings, which made up most of my jewelry collection. With these constraints in mind, I drew some initial (messy) sketches.

To keep track of all my parameters and variables, I sketched the faces making it up, labeled each dimension, and did a few simple calculations to fully define my constraints.
