HOW TO MAKE (ALMOST) ANYTHING
This class, notorious at MIT for its intensity, is a hands-on crash course in digital fabrication and making, with new topics and assignments each week. We continuously practiced project management and version control while diving into areas like embedded programming, electronics design and production, 3D scanning and printing, molding and casting, and even machine-building. The goal? To learn how to “make (almost) anything”.
I learned so much through this class, especially in electronics and programming — areas I was totally new to. My class website is a messy, candid account of my weekly journey, using tools I’d never heard of to finish assignments under tight deadlines. By the end, I was thrilled to have earned an A.
